Gardaí at Dundalk are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at Philipstown, Hackballscross, Co. Louth at approximately 2.45am today (Saturday February 5th 2011).
A male in his 30’s was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the road and collided with a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The scene of the collision is closed pending the completion of a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
