Discovery of a device at Faythe, Wexford on the 25/2/11

At approximately 12.30pm today, the 25/2/11 an object described as an historical shell was discovered in the back of a shed in the Faythe area in Wexford town.

In the interest of public safety an exclusion areas has been put in place around the house and residents in the immediate vicinity have been evacuated purely as a precaution. <_st13a_personname>Traffic restrictions were in place in the areas for a short time. <_o3a_p>

<_o3a_p> At all times voters were facilitated with pedestrian access to the near by polling station at Faythe National school.  The assistance of the Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team have been requested.
