Cork plane crash - name clarification

An Garda Síochána wish to advise of a correction of a name to one of the victims of the plane crash.

The correct name should read  - Richard Kenneth Noble, Jordanstown, Belfast   48 years.

An Garda Síochána are now in a position to name the 6 victims of Thursday's plane crash as follows;-

- Jordi Sola Lopez, Manresa, Barcelona 31 years.

- Patrick Gerard Cullinan, Malone Road, Belfast 45 years.

- Brendan McAleese, Kells, Co. Antrim 39years.

- Richard Kenneth Nobles, Jordanstown, Belfast  48 years.

- Andrew John Cantle, Sunderland 27 years.

- Joseph Michael Evans, Belfast 51 years.

At 9.50 a.m. on the 10th of February 2011 a Manx Airline, Fairchild Metor Liner, flight number BPS 7100, a scheduled daily flight from Belfast to Cork crashed attempting to land at Cork Airport.

There were ten(10) passengers and two(2) pilots onboard.  Six people were killed in the crash and six injured were removed to Cork University Hospital.

A casualty information bureau has been set up at the airport telephone number 021 4428820.

A press briefing will be held at Cork Airport at 12.30 p.m.
