Gardai in Mountjoy Garda Station investigating the serious assault of a male on the 12/12/11 wish to appeal for witnesses.
On the 12/12/11 at approximately 3.30pm Gardai discovered a male in his 20’s in waste ground on the bank of the Royal Canal at the rear of Shandon Park, Dublin 7.
The male was found with serious injuries and was taken to The Mater Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to this assault or to anyone that may have noticed anything unusual or suspicious in the area between 9am and 3.30pm on the 12.12.11 to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01-6668600, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
