Hit and run Incident in Cabra, Dublin 7 on the 2/12/11 - Further update

A pedestrian seriously injured in yesterdays hit and run collision in Cabra was pronounced dead this evening (3/12/11).

He is named as 14 year old Conor Hickey from St. Attracta Road, Cabra, Dublin 7.
 
Investigating Gardai are continuing to appeal to anyone with information to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 6668600, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Superintendent Sean Ward of Mountjoy Garda station is available to do  interviews for broadcast media this afternoon.

Gardai in Mountjoy investigating the hit and run at the junction of St Eithne Road and Fassaugh Road in Cabra Dublin 7 at approx 5.40pm yesterday the 2nd December 2011 in which a young boy was seriously injured are appealing for anyone with information in relation to the collision to come forward  and assist the Gardai in Mountjoy 01 6668600 with their investigation.

The injured boy is 14 years of age.

Gardai at Cabra are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in which a 12 year old boy was struck by a car.

The incident occured at the junction of St Eithne Road and Fassaugh Road in Cabra, Dublin 7 at approx 5.40pm today, the 2nd December 2011.


The car, described as  Silver car, failed to remain at the scene. The boy has been removed to Temple St Hospital. He is in a serious condition.


The scene is being technically examined and there are diversions in place.
