Section 30 Arrest in Co. Wicklow on the 21/8/11 - Further arrest

As part of ongoing investigations into the activities of organised criminals (See Press Releases attached) a third man, in his late 20's was arrested this afternoon, the 24/8/11 in the mid-lands.

This man is currently detained at Naas Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939. 
 
Another man arrested yesterday the 23rd August remains in custody at Naas Garda Station.

The 30 year old man arrested on 21/8/11 following an incident in Ballymore Eustace, Co Wicklow (Please see Press Releases attached) was released without charge this evening (23/8/11).

A file will be prepared for the information of the Director Of Public Prosecutions.  

The second man arrested today (23/8/11) remains in custody at Naas Garda Station.

As part of ongoing investigations into the activities of organised criminals (See Press Release attached) a second man (late 30’s) was arrested this afternoon 23/8/11 in Co. Wicklow.

This man is currently detained at Naas Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.  
 
The man arrested on 21/8/11 remains in custody in Naas 
 

Investigations are continuing.

As part of ongoing investigations into the activities of organised criminals a car was stopped by members of the Organised Crime Unit in Ballymore Eustace, Co. Wicklow yesterday (21/8/11).

A 30 year old man was arrested under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act and is currently detained at Naas Garda Station.

During the course of this operation a number of shots were discharged by members of An Garda Síochána. A firearm and a quantity of cash were recovered.  

A second car which failed to stop for Gardaí left the scene.  

Investigations are continuing.
