Man charged in relation to shooting incident in Limerick city on the 29/7/11

Gardai in Roxboro Road, Limerick investigating criminal activity and in particular a shooting incident on the 29th July 2011 in Limerick city arrested four people on the 4th August 2011.

The shooting incident occurred at approx 2.30am on the 29th July 2011 on Lenihan Avenue, two houses were damaged in the incident but no one was injured in the incident.
 
On the 4th August 2011 four people (2 males and 2 females) were arrested in connection with the incident and detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended at Roxboro Garda Station.
 
On the 5th August one male and one female was released without charge on the 6th August the second female was released without charge.  The second male (in his 20's) was charged in connection with the incident this evening the 6th August and will appear before a special sitting of Limerick District Court at 1pm on Sunday, the 7th August 2011.
