Fatal stabbing at Tallaght, Dublin on the 27/8/11 - Court appearance

A man in his 30’s arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of John Murdoch 23yrs in Tallaght on 27/8/11 is due to appear before Dublin District Court (Criminal Courts of Justice Complex) at 10.30 this morning (30/8/11) charged in connection with this incident.

Gardaí in Tallaght investigating the fatal stabbing of a 23 year old male on Saturday the 27th of August 2011 have arrested a male in his 30’s.

The male was arrested this afternoon in the Dublin area and is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí at Tallaght are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred shortly before 12.30am this morning, Saturday 27th August 2011.

The 23 year old male victim was taken from outside a new apartment complex at Cushlawn to the Adelaide and Meath Hospital (incorporating the National Children’s Hospital), Tallaght by ambulance. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

The scene has been preserved and the services of the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist have been requested.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.  An incident room has been established in Tallaght.
