Gardai in Carrickmacross are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a vehicle on the 2/8/11 at approximately 10.15pm on the N2 Carrickmacross to Castleblaney Road.
A 23 year old male cyclist was fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
