Fatal road traffic collision at Dunshaughlin, Meath on the 23/8/11

Gardai in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath are investigating the circumstances of a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision on the 23rd August 2011 in which two male (21 & 20 yrs) were fatally injured.

The collision occurred at approx. 2.05am on the 23rd August 2011 on the Ratoath to Dunshaughlin Road (R152) approximately 3 miles outside Dunshaughlin.  The car collided with a tree.  The driver and passeger were pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies were taken to Navan Hospital.  There was no one else in the car at the time of the collision.
 
The road is closed for a Forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.
