Gardaí in Thurles, Co. Tipperary are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at Garranacool, Ballingarry, Thurles, Co Tipperary this morning. Tuesday August 30th 2011.
A 24 year old female driver (only occupant) of a car was fatally injured when her car left the road and overturned. Investigating Gardaí believe the collision occurred sometime between midnight and 7am this morning (30/8/11).
The road is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Investigating Gardaí wish to appeal for witnesses to this collision or to any person who may have travelled on that road at the above times and saw a red Toyota Starlet to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504 25100, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
