Fatal ro traffic collision at Fossa, Co. Kerry on the 26/8/11

Gardaí at Killarney are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the L103 at Fossa at approximately 9.15pm this evening, Friday, the 26th August 2011.

A male pedal cyclist (believed to be in his 30's) was fatally injured after being struck by a car.  His body remains at the scene and the road is closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation.

Diversions are being implemented by local Gardaí.
