Fatal traffic collision Co. Waterford

Gardai in Tramore are investigating the circumstances of a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision on the 25th April 2011.

The collision occurred at approx 1.50am on the 25th April 2011 when the car collided with a horse on the N25 Cork to Waterford Rd at Ballyduff East, Kilmeaden. The driver(42yrs) the sole occupant of the car was seriously injured and taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.The horse died at the scene.

The road is closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination and diversions are in place.
