Gardai at Tuam, Co. Galway, are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N17, Tuam to Galway Road, at approximately 4.30am on the 19/09/10.
A car collided with a male pedestrian in his 50’s. The pedestrian received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car did not require hospital treatment.
This section of the N17, on the outskirts of Tuam, is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
