Fatal road traffic collision at Newcastle West, Limerick on the 12/9/10 - Victims named

Gardai have named the men killed in last nights (12th September 2010) crash near Newcastlewest, Co. Limerick.

They were Tommy Murphy and Thomas Homes, both 32 years and Richard Furey, aged 37. 

All three were from Newcastlewest.

Gardai in Newcastle West are investigating a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at Garryduff in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick at approximately 9.10pm on the 12th Sept 2010.

Three men (all aged in their 30’s) were pronounced dead at the scene after the people carrier in which they were travelling was involved in a collision with a car.<_o3a_p>

Three other occupants of the people carrier were taken to <_st13a_place><_st13a_placename>Limerick<_st13a_placename>Regional<_st13a_placetype>Hospital.  Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.<_o3a_p>

The four occupants of the car were not seriously injured.<_o3a_p>

The road has now re-opened following a technical examination.<_o3a_p>
