Drugs arrests Dublin

As the result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Dublin City Centre Gardaí from the Pearse Street Drugs Unit yesterday (Friday 17th September 2010) arrested 5 males in the Upper Dorset Street Area of Dublin 1.

They varied in age from 23 to 35 years and were detained at Kevin Street, Harcourt Terrace and Pearse Street Garda Stations under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

The operation itself was intelligence led and involved surveillance.

An amount of cash, 3 digital scales, bagging and other drug paraphernalia were also seized.

One of the males was released, without charge, earlier today, Saturday 18th September 2010.  Two were charged and were bailed to dates in Dublin District Court in October.

The remaining two men were charged and remain in custody to appear before Dublin District Court on Monday morning 20th September 2010.
