Gardai in Carrigaline in Cork are investigating a 3 car fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Carr’s Hill, in Douglas at approximately 6.30am this morning – 31st October 2010.
2 males (believed to be in their mid 20’s) who were travelling in the same car were pronounced dead at the scene following the collision. The remaining 3 occupants of the car (one female and two males) were taken to <_st13a_place _w3a_st="on"><_st13a_placename _w3a_st="on">Cork</_st13a_placename> <_st13a_placetype _w3a_st="on">University</_st13a_placetype> <_st13a_placetype _w3a_st="on">Hospital</_st13a_placetype></_st13a_place>.<_o3a_p></_o3a_p>
The single occupants of the other 2 cars were also taken to Cork University Hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.<_o3a_p></_o3a_p>
The road remains closed and diversions are in place locally.
