Serious assault in Ennis, Clare on the 18/5/10 - Witness appeal

Gardai in Ennis are investigating a serious assault in the town today, the 18th of May 2010.

A 43 year old man received serious facial injuries in an incident in the Market area of the town shortly after 3.00 p.m.  The injured man was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital Ennis where he is being treated for his injuries.

The man was attacked by at least three men who got out of a black Toyota Avensis. Following the attack these men fled the scene in this car.

Gardai are asking witnesses to the incident to contact them at Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100.
