Fatal road traffic collision near Lisduff, Virginia, Cavan on the 5/5/10

Two men have been killed following a road traffic collision near Virginia, Co. Cavan. The collision involving a car and a van occurred on the N3 near Lisduff, Virginia at 22.30 on the 5 May 2010.

The dead men were travelling in the van; the driver was in his late 20s and the passenger in his late 30s. The driver of the car a man in his 50s was taken to Cavan General Hospital and has since been moved to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda. His condition is serious but not life threatening.

The collision is under investigation and road at the scene of the crash is closed to facilitate the examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
