One male will appear at the Courts of Criminal Justice, Number 2 on Monday morning 10th May, 2010 at 10.30 a.m. charged in connection with the incident below.

As part of an operation targeting the distribution of controlled drugs in the Dublin area Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit and the Garda National Drug Unit have seized drugs with an estimated street value of €1.2 million (subject to analysis) and arrested a male this evening, the 7/5/10.
Gardai stopped a van on the Swords Road, Whitehall at approximately 6pm this evening. A quantity of what is believed to be cannabis herb (subject to analysis) with an estimated street values of €1.2 million was discovered in the van which was being driven by a male in his 20’s.
The male was arrested at the scene and brought to Whitehall Garda Station where he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
