Arrests in Co. Louth - dissident activity

As part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of Dissident Republicans Gardai have this evening (22.5.2010) arrested two men.

The men aged in their 30s and 50s were arrested following a search of an outbuilding at Mount Pleasant, Dundalk, Co Louth,  at approximately  1900 hours.

They are currently being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, at  Drogheda  Garda Station.

The scene is currently being preserved for a technical examination.
