Recovery of jewellery following a burglary from a premises in the Ilac Centre, Dublin on the 5/3/10 and arrests

Gardai at Store Street have arrested two males and recovered a quantity of jewellery following a burglary on a premises in the Ilac Centre in the early hours of this morning (5/3/10).

At approximately 4am this morning, the 5/3/10 a call was received by Gardai with regard to a burglary at a premises in the Ilac Centre in Dublin city centre. Security personnel in the centre were able to provide a description of two males involved. This description was relayed to the Gardai operating in the city centre area who stopped two males fitting the description on O’Connell bridge a short time later.


A quantity of jewellery was recovered from the males who were subsequently  arrested and conveyed to Store Street Garda station where they are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. The males are 34 and 32 years.
