Gardaí at Blanchardstown are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N3 at the Mulhuddart slip Road, Blanchardstown By-pass, Dublin 15 at approximately 9pm last night, the 24/3/10.
A 14 yr old female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the above location and was seriously injured. She was removed to the Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination and has since reopened.

Gardai at Blanchardstown are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the N3, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.
The collision occurred at approximately 9pm this evening when a female pedestrian was struck by a 4x4 vehicle.
The in-bound carriageway of the N3 is currently closed between Mulhuddart and Blanchardstown and traffic diversions are in place.
