Gardai in Boyle are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision, which occurred at Tarmonbarry, on the Longford to Strokestown Road, Co. Roscommon on the 3rd March 2010.
The single vehicle collision occurred at 02.45hrs on the 3rd March. A 34 year old man, the only occupant of a car, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Roscommon General Hospital.
The N5 Longford to Strokestown Road is closed pending a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place in the area.
