Fatal road traffic collision at Charlestown, Mayo on the 17/3/10

The collision occurred at approx. 22.45hrs on the 17th March 2010.

Gardai in Charlestown, Co. Mayo are investigating the circumstances of a 2 car collision in which a male (67yrs) received serious injuries and was conveyed to Castlebar General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The collision occurred on Barrack Street, Charlestown. The road remains closed for a Forensic collision examination and will re-open later today.
