Drug seizure and arrests at Navan, Meath on the 3/3/10 - Update

Following a detailed search of the car stopped by Gardai in Navan on the 3rd March 2010 a further quantity of ecstasy tablets were discovered hidden in the vehicle.

The quantity discovered (subject to analysis) have a street value of €250,000.  The brings the total seized to €450,000.


The two men who were arrested remain in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Gardai in Navan have arrested two males and seized ecstasy tablets on the 3/3/10.

Gardai stopped a car on the Inner Relief Road, Navan at approximately 5.45pm and seized a quantity of ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of up to €200,000, subject to analysis.


The two male occupants in their 20’s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Kells Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
