Firearm recovered and one man arrested Limerick, 23rd July 2010.
As part of a planned operation into the investigation of organised crime in the Limerick area, Gardai from Roxoboro Rd this afternoon arrested a man aged in his 20s.
The man was arrested following the search of a house in the south city area during which a firearm was recovered. (Sawn-off shot gun subject to technical examination)
He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Roxboro Rd Garda Station.
This operation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
