Robbery and arrest at Waterford on the 6/1/10

At approximately 10pm on the 6th of January 2010 a man armed with what was believed to be a knife, entered a filling station on the New Ross Road in Ferrybank, Co. Waterford.

He threatened staff and stole a quantity  of cash.  He fled the scene on foot, and the Gardaí at Waterford Garda Station were notified. As part of the follow up search a plastic bag with a sum of money, a balaclava, and a hoody were all located.

 
Later that night at approximately 2am, a 40 year old male was arrested in the Dunmore Road area of Waterford, and detained in Waterford Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He is currently before Waterford District Court.
