Death of infant boy at Lusk, Dublin on the 8/1/10 - Arrests

Gardai in Balbriggan investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an infant boy in Lusk, Co Dublin on 8/1/10 have arrested two people (1 male 1 female) both in their mid 20's in Navan this evening the 14/1/10.

The male is detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against The State Act 1939 as amended in Whitehall Garda Station. The female is detained under the provisions of section 4 Criminal Justice Act in Balbriggan Garda Station.

Gardai at Balbriggan are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of an infant boy in Lusk, Co Dublin on 8th January 2010.

The infant was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda from a house at Scholars Walk, Lusk, Co. Dublin where he was pronounced dead a short time later on the 8/1/10. 

A Post Mortem was carried out at the Louth County Hospital in Dundalk yesterday afternoon, the 8/1/10 and the results have been made available to investigating officers. 

A technical examination of the house at Scholars Walk is being carried out today, the 9/1/10.  

Investigations are continuing.
