Alleged assault at Blessington Street, Dublin on the 18/1/10 - Witness appeal

Gardai at Mountjoy Garda Station investigating an alleged assault at Blessington Street, Dublin 7 on the 18th of January 2010 wish to renew their appeal for witnesses.

They are particularly interested in speaking to any persons who was in Blessington Street or its environs between 9.30pm and 11.30pm on Monday, he 18th January 2010 and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or unusual to contact  Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 600 or the Garda Confidential telephone line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.


The injured woman remains in a serious condition.

Gardaí in Mountjoy are investigating the circumstances following an alleged assault which occurred at a flat at Blessington Street, Dublin 7 at approximately 11pm last night, the 18/1/2010.

A 38 year old woman received injuries to her face and head and was taken to the Mater Hospital, but was subsequently removed to Beaumount Hospital, where she is believed to be in a serious condition.


A male occupant also received minor injuries to his hand and was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.


The scene is preserved for a Garda technical examination.


Anyone who was in the Blessington Street area who may have saw or heard anything unusual is asked to contact Gardaí at Mountjoy on 01-6668600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
