Gardai at Ardee are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the M1 near Castlebellingham on 5th January 2010.
The collision occurred at approximately 8.50pm when a pedestrian was struck by a motor car on the north bound carriageway of the M1 in the towns land of Commons near Castlebellingham, Co Louth. The pedestrian a man aged 37 years died at the scene.
The scene has been examined by Forensic Collision Investigators and the motor way has since re-opened to traffic.
