Appeal for witnesses to a serious assault on the Wellington Quay, Dublin on the 14/02/10

Gardai at Pearse Street Garda Station wish to appeal for witnesses to a serious assault that occurred on the 14/02/10 on Wellington Quay.

A male in his 20’s received injuries to his face when he was assaulted by three men as he walked on Wellington Quay towards O’Connell Street at approximately 11.45pm. The three men made their escape towards Halfpenny Bridge. One male was arrested on Henry Street shortly afterwards. 
 

The 3 culprits are described as follows:

Male 1: Was wearing a bright orange jacket with a hood, blue tracksuit bottoms and white runners – he was later arrested.

Male 2: This man was on a push bike - wearing dark clothing.

Male 3: This man was on foot - wearing dark clothing. 
 

Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who may have been in the area of Aston Quay/Wellington Quay/Halfpenny Bridge/Bachelors Walk around 11.45pm on Valentines Night, the 14/2/10 and may have seen this incident. The man injured was wearing a green Ireland t-shirt and managed to chase the culprits along the Quays after it happened. The bright orange jacket worn by one of the offenders was very distinctive and stood out.
