Fatal traffic collision Sligo

Gardaí at Ballymote, Co. Sligo, are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N4 at Drumfin, Riverstown at approximately 9am this morning, 28th August 2010.

Two cars travelling in opposite directions collided, resulting in the death of one of the drivers, a female in her 60's.

She was pronounced dead at scene.

The car she was driving had a male passanger. He along with the female driver (and lone occupant) of the other car were taken to Sligo General Hospital.

The road remains closed and diversions are in place.
