Discovery of a body in Athlone

Gardaí at Athlone are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a 54 year old female at a house in Tullycross, Moydrum at approximately 7pm last night, 27th August 2010.

The scene remains preserved and the services of the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist have been requested.

A post mortem is expected to be carried out later today.
