Cannabis Seizure in Baldoyle, Dublin on the 21/8/10

As a result of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of drugs on the Northside of Dublin Gardaí from the Coolock Drugs Unit this afternoon (21/8/10) searched a house in the Baldoyle area.

This search uncovered an elaborate cannabis factory which included lighting, feeding, ventilation and irrigation systems.  Approximately 700 cannabis plants and a quantity of cannabis were seized.

This seizure, subject to further analysis, has a potential street value of €400,000.

A male (age not known at this time) was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Swords Garda Station under Section 2 of The Drug Trafficking Act.
