Attempted Armed Robbery at Bolton Street on the 10/8/10 - Update

Court appearance.

The two men arrested in connection with the attempted armed robbery in Bolton Street, Dublin 1 on 10/8/10 are expected to appear before the Courts Of Criminal Justice this morning (12/8/10) charged in connection with this incident.

Gardai at the Bridewell Garda Station are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred this morning at approximately 9.30a.m. at a shop on Bolton Street, Dublin 1, 10th August, 2010.

Two males entered the premises and tied up a male and female member of staff in the back office.  Both staff members were uninjured and nothing was taken in this robbery.

An alarm was activated and Gardai arrived on scene.  Two male suspects were arrested aged in their early 30’s and are presently detained at Bridewell Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

What is believe to be a firearm was recovered at the scene and has been sent for ballistic examination.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
