Fatal road traffic collisions on the 19/5/09 - Names

Gardaí have named the three people who were fatally injured in traffic collisions in Galway, Dublin and Kerry.

 

Gardaí have named the three people who were fatally injured in traffic collisions in Galway, Dublin and Kerry yesterday - Tuesday May 19th 2009.

 

1.        Geraldine Bugler,  (58 years) from Woodford, Co. Galway. (Press Release below)

 

Gardaí at Loughrea are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the Woodford to Portumna Road at Drumnamuckla, Co. Galway, at approximately 3.45pm today 19th May 2009.

The woman driver in her late 40s (and only occupant of the car) was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been taken to Portinuncula Hospital.

 

2.       Tim Walsh, (79 years) from Tralee, Co. Kerry. (Press Release below)

 

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Co Kerry, which occurred on the 19th of may 2009 at 2.45 p.m. The accident happened on the N21 between Castleisland to Abbeyfeale, near Healeys Bridge.

A man believed to be in his 70s was fatally injured when the car he was driving was in collision with a truck, he was the only occupant of this car. The driver of the truck received minor injuries and was taken to Tralee General Hospital.

 

3 . Conor Conroy, (2 years) from Clondalkin, Dublin. (Press Release below)

 

Gardaí at Clondalkin are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 5.30pm this evening on Deansrath Avenue, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

A 2 year old boy (pedestrian) was fatally injured when he was struck by a motor van.

He was pronounced dead in an ambulance while being taken to The National Children's Hospital,Tallaght.
