Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred shortly after 8.30 pm on the 11th of March 2009. The incident happened on the N9 in Co.Kildare between Kilcullen and Castledermot, close to Ballytore.
Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred shortly after 8.30 pm on the 11th of March 2009. The incident happened on the N9 in Co.Kildare between Kilcullen and Castledermot, close to Ballytore.
The collision involved three cars, a mini bus and a pick up truck. Two occupants of one car, both males; one in his twenties and one in his fifties, were fatally injured. They were the only occupants of this car.
Sixteen occupants of the mini bus were taken to Naas General Hospital and their condition is not known. At least two others, who were traveling in the other cars, were removed to hospital.
The road at the scene is closed and is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.
Gardai investigating the crash are asking anyone who was traveling in the area to contact Kildare Garda Station on 045 527730.
