Fatal road traffic collision at Macroom, Cork on the 4/3/09 and name.

Gardai at Macroom who are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Ballyshoneen, Berrings, Macroom, Co. Cork have named the man.

 

The man killed in this collision in Macroom has been named as Michael Moynihan of Berrings, Co. Cork.

He was 33 years old and not 28 as previously circulated.

All road closures have been lifted.

Gardai at Macroom are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Ballyshoneen, Berrings, Macroom, Co. Cork which occurred at approximately 7.30am on the 4th March 2009.

One man, aged 28, was taken to Cork University Hospital after the van in which he was traveling was in a collision with a car. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Diversions are in place at the scene of the crash.
