Fatal road traffic collision at Mullinachta, Longford on the 24/6/09

Gardaí at Granard are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Clogh Bridge, Mullinachta.

 

Gardaí at Granard are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 2.30pm today, the 24/6/09 at Clogh Bridge, Mullinachta, Co. Longford.

 

This collision involved a teleporter and a car.

 

The driver of the teleporter was killed and his body remains at scene. He is believed to be approximately 60 years of age and he will shortly be removed to Mullingar General Hospital.

 

There were 3 adults and a child in the car.  They did not receive any injuries.

 

The road remains closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Investigation.
