Visit of President of Ireland Mary McAleese to the Garda College, Templemore, Co. Tipperary

On Monday, 7 December 2009 at 1.45 p.m.

The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, will be welcomed to the Garda College Templemore by the Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy where she will deliver the opening address at a conference to mark the 50th Anniversary of Women in Policing. The first 12 women graduated from Garda Headquarters on 7 December 1959.


Media are invited to the Garda College for the arrival of the President and her opening address.
