Fatal road traffic collision at Ardloy, Sligo on the 16/12/09

Gardaí in Ballymote are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N4 on the Sligo side of Castlebaldwin in the townland of Ardloy, Co. Sligo shortly after 12pm today, the 16th December 2009.

The driver and only occupant (female in mid 40's) of one of the vehicles was taken to Sligo General, where she was later pronounced dead.  It was a two car collision.


The driver (female) and occupant (three month old baby boy) of the other car were also taken to Sligo General Hospital. Their condition is not believed to be serious.


The road was closed pending a forensic collision examination and was re-opened at 18.30hrs on the 16/12/09.
