Collision between a male on a bicycle and an unidentified bus on the 15/8/09 - Witness appeal

Gardaí in Pearse Street Garda Station are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a male (61yrs) on a bicycle and an unidentified bus in August 2009. The incident occurred at approximately 20.00hrs on the 15th of the month.

The collision occurred on Essex Quay, at the ‘Viking Ship’ bus stop in front of the Dublin City Council’s offices. The bus driver stopped and rendered assistance to the injured party, and both parties left the scene. However the injured male continued to feel unwell, and subsequently received medical attention. The injuries are not life threatening.


Despite Garda appeals and a poster campaign in the vicinity, no witnesses have come forward.  We are appealing to any member of the public who may have seen the incident to come forward, investigating Gardai can be contacted at Pearse Street on 01 666 9000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
