Graduation Ceremony at Garda College, Templemore on the 8/4/09

The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr. Dermot Aherne, T.D., presented Certificates to 263 Gardaí.

 

 

The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr. Dermot Aherne, T.D., presented Certificates to 263 Gardaí (78 Females and 185 Males) at a Graduation Ceremony at the Garda College, Templemore today, the 8/4/09.

 

The COMMISSIONER’S MEDAL – awarded to the Student achieving the highest aggregate marks in academic subjects – was won by Garda Kirsten Somers, and who will be stationed at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

 

GARY SHEEHAN MEMORIAL MEDAL - commemorating a Recruit Garda who was killed on duty in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, in December, 1983 was awarded to Garda Ofelia Hough, a native of Romania.  This prize is awarded to the best all-round Student. Garda Hough will be stationed at Henry Street Garda Station, Limerick.

 

THE TEMPLEMORE TOWN COUNCIL MEDAL- for outstanding achievement and appreciation in the area of Social Science Studies, was presented to Garda Scott Kahler, a native of Long Island, New York, and who will be stationed at Mullingar Garda Station.
