Gardai at Abbeyleix are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occured approx 3 km outside Rathdowney on the Abbeyleix to Rathdowney road.
Gardai at Abbeyleix are investigating a fatal traffic collision in which a male motorcyclist, aged 35 years died.
He was pronounced dead at scene.
He was removed to Portlaoise General Hospital and a post mortem is expected this evening.
The collision occurred at approximately 11.55am on the 20th April 2009.
The other vehicle involved was a car and the crash occurred approx 3 km outside Rathdowney on the Abbeyleix to Rathdowney road.
The road is presently closed. The scene is being examined by the Forensic Collision Investigators.
