Appeal for witnesses to assault on the 12/4/09 at Camden Row, Dublin

A man was assaulted outside the side door of Whelans pub on the Sunday, 12/4/09 between 1.00 and 1.15 am. approximately.

 

Gardaí at Kevin Street are seeking the public's assistance in relation to their investigation into an assault that occurred on Camden Row on the Sunday, 12th April 2009 between 1.00 and 1.15 am. approximately.

 

A 22 year old man was assaulted outside the side door of Whelans pub.  He was brought to St. James's Hospital where it was later discovered that he had a serious head injury as a result of the incident. The man was then immediately brought to Beaumont Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

 

He is currently in a serious but stable condition in Beaumont Intensive Care Unit.

 

Gardaí are requesting that any member of the public that was in the Camden St /Camden Row area on the night of the 11th April into the early hours of 12th April 2009, particularly between 12.30am-01.30am, that may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to offer to contact them.
