Appeal to trace next of kin - Manchester

Greater Manchester Police from the United Kingdom are appealing for the public's help in tracing the next of kin.

 

Greater Manchester Police from the United Kingdom are appealing for the public's help in tracing the next of kin of a man who died in Manchester last weekend.  

An 81-year-old man, Michael Scanlon died at his home on Apprentice Court, Harpurhey, Manchester and Police are trying to contact family members. 

Michael's carer found him dead on Saturday 16th March 2008.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, but Officers are struggling to locate his next of kin.  

Michael is originally from County Cork in Ireland, and it is possible he has relatives there.  

He also has ties to London.  

Anyone with any information, or who thinks they might know some of Michael's relatives, is asked to contact police in Manchester on 0044-161-856-3897.
