Shooting incident at Donegal on the 22/1/08.

Gardai from Letterkenny Garda station, Donegal are investigating an incident which happened at St. Johnston, Donegal after 9 p.m. on the 22/1/08.

Three men, (2 armed with hand guns and one with a pick axe handle and all wearing balaclava's) entered a house and shot a man in both legs.

He was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where his being treated for his injuries which are not life threatening.

Two men and a woman in the house at the time were not injured. The men involved escaped in a white Cavalier car which belonged to the injured man and this was later found burnt out in Lifford.

The scene at St. Johnston and Lifford have been preserved for technical examination.
