Gardai at Carbury, Kildare are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Derrinturn, Carbury, Co. Kildare.
Gardai are investigating a fatal hit and run traffic collision at Derrinturn, Carbury, Co.Kildare which occurred at 8.30 p.m. on the 16th of January 2008.
Timothy Duffy, 51 year old of Clonkeen, Carbury died of his injuries at Naas General Hospital at 3.30 a.m on the 17th of January 2008.
Gardai would like anyone who was in the Derrinturn area between 8.00 p.m and 9.p.m. who saw a man walking on the road on the Edenderry side of Derrinturn or anyone with any information to contact them at Kildare Garda Station on 045 527730.

Gardai at Carbury, Kildare are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Derrinturn, Carbury at 8.30p.m. on the night of the 16th January, 2008.
A 51 year old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle. He was removed to Naas General Hospital where he died at 3.30 a.m., the morning of 17/1/08.
The scene is being technically examined at this time. The road is closed at the present time and is expected to remain closed until midday. Diversions are in place.
