Gardai at Ballyjamesduff, Co.Cavan, are investigating a single vehicle collision between a lorry and a pedestrian on Granard Street, Ballyjamesduff, at approximately 11.55am today (22.08.08).
An 91 year old male pedestrian was fatally injured when a lorry collided with him as he crossed the street. He was taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The male pedestrian has been named as Harry Gaffney, Gallonbane, Ballyjamesduff.
